The Association for Social Research and Communications (UDIK) expresses deep condolences because of the commemoration and funeral for five killed Bosniaks civilians who were exhumed in the last period.

Today, on April 18, 2015, was buried the five victims of the last war. The four victims who were buried today were exhumed from a mass grave Ogradica, while the fifth victim exhumed in Dzandjici. Both tombs are located in Vlasenica. The youngest among the victims who was buried today in the cemetery Shahid Rakita in Vlasenica is a seven years old boy Edis Hajdarević. The oldest victim is Duda Dautovic who was 68 years old when she was killed. She was found in Dzandjici.

On this day 23 years ago in Vlasenica came members of the Uzice and Novi Sad Corps of the JNA, after which they committed awful crimes. One of the most terrible camps in Bosnia and Herzegovina was the Susica camp in Vlasenica and the most famous convicted for the same crimes is Dragan Nikolic aka Janki.

On this occasion UDIK emphasizes that lately is more and more difficult to obtain accurate and reliable information about the locations of individual and mass graves in the tracing process. Good example of this is the fact that in Vlasenica are still searching for more than five hundred victims.

UDIK recalls, but also emphasizes, that the problem of dealing with the past is immensely important for building peace as well as the affirmation of corporate social responsibility activities in the process of building a community of non-violence as well as documenting the crimes of the nineties to the words “never again” does not recur.
