The Association for Social Research and Communications (UDIK) informs the public that on Monday, January 4, 2016, will organize an activity on the occasion of the anniversary of the killing of Serbs in the village Kravica. Half-hour activity will be carried out at noon at Fra Grga Martic Square in Sarajevo. The next day, January 5, 2016, activists of UDIK will attend the commemoration in Kravica where they will lay a wreath to pay homage to the victims.
We remind that this crime occurred on Orthodox Christmas, January 7, 1993, when the Bosnian army from starving Srebrenica enclave under siege attacked the village of Kravica defended by village guards and soldiers of the Republic of Srpska.
UDIK believes that is very important to organize activities like this. It is important for Bosnia and Herzegovina, especially for the city of Sarajevo, and a denial of the crime, may make it difficult for a culture of remembrance and reconciliation process in Bosnia and Herzegovina. We are aware of differences in terms of war crimes in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but we are also aware of our obligation to mark all the crimes committed in Bosnia and Herzegovina and to pay tribute to all victims, regardless of the ethnicity of the victims.
