On Monday, September 24, 2018 the Association for Social Research and Communication (UDIK) will organize a press conference in order to present a publication War crimes committed in Foča – verdicts. It is a part of the edition named War crimes – transcripts of verdicts of courts in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The publication will be presented by Edvin Kanka Ćudić, UDIK’s coordinator, and Lejla Čengić from the Institute for Missing Persons in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The publication includes eight convictions for war crimes committed in Foča, issued by the State Court and Cantonal Court in Sarajevo. They were sentenced Gojko Janković, Jasko Gazdić, Krsto Dostić, Mitar Rašević, Savo Todović, Neđo Samardžić, Novica Tripković, Radovan Stanković and Veselin Čančar, from 4 to 34 years in prison. Some of the convicts are already at large today. Mitar Rašević was released from KPD Foča in 2010 and Savo Todović in 2014. Also, this book includes a list of exhumed persons missing in the Foča area.
