The Association for Social Research and Communications Brcko DC BiH (UDIK Brcko DC BiH) on Monday, May 4, 2015 will mark the anniversary of the crimes committed in the camp „Luka“ in Brcko. The standing will be organized at 9 am at the Square of Youth in Brcko.
The camp „Luka“ was opened on May 4, 1992 in Brcko and it is constituted of four centers in the city: Hotel Posavina, DTV Partizan, Haji Pasha’s Mosque and the Police Department of Brcko. In this infamous camp were committed heinous crimes. Camp commander Goran Jelisic called Adolf pleaded guilty at The Hague tribunal and was sentenced to 40 years in prison. He’s currently serving a sentence in prison in Italy. Branko Pudic was convicted to one year for abusing prisoners in the camp while Monika Simonovic, also known as the “female monster”, sentenced to 2.5 years in prison.
With the act of standing, UDIK wants to pay tribute to all the victims who were forcibly abducted, tortured in various monstrous ways and then shooting. We want to remind and warn the public that these crimes must never forget.
